Martin Luther King Elementary School

Martin Luther King Elementary School
Brief
Twenty-year-old wooden benches out front of MLK Elementary had gone from worn to unusable, and we brought them back to life with the school's identity built in.

Brief
Twenty-year-old wooden benches out front of MLK Elementary had gone from worn to unusable, and we brought them back to life with the school's identity built in.
Approach
The benches had been sitting there for two decades, cracked enough that nobody wanted to risk splinters. We sanded them down to bare wood, refinished the surface, and topped each one with the school's logo, turning a maintenance problem into something that actually looks like it belongs to MLK.
Outcome
Kids waiting for pickup now have somewhere safe to sit, and the front of the school looks like a campus somebody cares about instead of one still waiting on a repair list. It's a small fix that does a lot of quiet work for how the school presents itself every single afternoon.
