Approach
Walker Pool needed to look like a destination before anyone got in the water. We covered the guard shack's brick wall in an underwater scene — fish weaving through plants, color breaking up against a field of blue and white — and flanked each entrance with bold, graffiti-style lettering spelling out the pool's name. The lettering does double duty: wayfinding that's actually fun to look at.
Outcome
Kids find the wall before they find the water. Both entrances now announce themselves from across the parking lot instead of blending into the brick, and the guard shack went from a utility building to part of the scenery. It's the kind of public space upgrade that makes a city pool feel like somewhere worth the drive.
